Alpha launches dedicated ETF & Indexing practice and hires Marc Knowles as a Director

Alpha strengthens market offering with dedicated ETF & Indexing Practice to respond to the growing significance of index funds and ETFs and demand for consulting support from clients.

Alpha today announces the launch of a dedicated ETF & Indexing Practice. Marc Knowles has joined as a Director to lead the practice, which will focus on servicing Alpha’s clients across the industry.

Alpha already plays a central role in helping its clients transform their business models and respond to ever-changing client demands and technical innovations. The ETF & Indexing Practice has been formed to help Alpha’s clients develop and implement winning strategies to benefit from the increase of assets flowing into index strategies and ETFs.

Marc started his career at Blackrock iShares where he was one of the first hires into the European ETF business in 2001. Over the next 13 years Marc held senior positions across the product, operations, capital markets and distribution functions. Marc went on to lead the launch of BMO GAM’s ETF platform in Europe. Marc joins Alpha from KPMG where he led the ETF dedicated management consulting practice. Marc has extensive relationships across the industry and speaks frequently at conferences and events.

The launch of a dedicated ETF & Indexing practice represents a key milestone in Alpha’s expansion strategy. Since its inception over 15 years ago, Alpha has grown rapidly; the firm has dedicated practices covering the full Asset and Wealth Management value chain and is now the leading global consulting firm to the industry.

Euan Fraser, Alpha FMC UK Chief Executive Officer, said:
