Governance and Policies

We are committed to the highest standards of corporate governance, and we regularly review and extend our frameworks to formalise and oversee Alpha’s ESG efforts.

Overview

The principles of responsibility and ethical conduct feature heavily in Alpha’s culture and business model. As a firm and as professionals, we hold ourselves to the highest standards of governance, transparency and integrity.

At Alpha, we recognise that strong governance and clear, actionable policies are fundamental to fostering trust with our stakeholders. They rely on us to ensure robust frameworks are in place and for our board and leadership teams to take proactive accountability for governance and regulatory responsibilities.

To meet these expectations, we continually strengthen our governance practices as part of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments. Our Group Responsible Business function brings deep expertise and supports our local teams to implement meaningful improvements and keep pace with evolving governance standards and regulations.

Our policies and training programmes promote ethical behaviour and champion fairness, and support our business and the diverse services we offer. Core elements of our Corporate Compliance Manual include guidelines on Anti-Bribery and Corruption, Whistleblowing, Information Security, and Modern Slavery, ensuring that all employees are well-equipped to uphold our high standards. These values underpin every decision we make and reflect our dedication to making a positive impact on society.

See below our Corporate Compliance Manual, which houses our full suite of Group-level policies and the memberships which we continue to support.

Our Memberships

Modern Slavery

We are committed to combating and preventing modern slavery, human trafficking and exploitation. We have procedures and policies in place throughout our own business and our supply and procurement chains to support this. These processes are reviewed annually, and Alpha’s Modern Slavery Statement is ultimately approved by the Board.

SASB

The mission of the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (“SASB”) is to develop and disseminate sustainability accounting standards that help corporations disclose material, decision-useful information to investors. We are supportive of the SASB framework as it allows organisations to provide comparable and consistent ESG-related data. The Group adopted the SASB framework in 2019 and we have reported on our adherence to those standards each year since.

UK Living Wage

As part of our commitment to ensuring our supplier relationships are in line with legislation and best practices, we are delighted to be a member of the UK Living Wage scheme.

United Nations Global Compact

We are proud to be a member of the United Nations Global Compact, an initiative for global corporations to commit to responsible business practices in human rights, labour, the environment, and corruption.
