The savings and retirement market experienced significant activity in 2020, including the response to COVID-19. We saw a flurry of acquisition activity and firms responding to increased market volatility. If 2020 was about adapting to the new normal, then 2021 will be about acting on the transformation opportunities which have arisen, with a further acceleration of changes likely. This will undoubtedly make 2021 another busy year for savings and retirement firms as they continue to tackle the effects of the pandemic while also looking to transform their wider business.
