Helping our client deliver a consistent view of client level flows and holdings at strategy and fund level
Alpha were appointed to review the client’s approach to compliance with EMIR, complete a gap analysis and deliver recommendations to close any identified gaps. The client had limited exposure to derivatives at the time, but wanted to ensure their approach to EMIR would be scalable if this were to change in future.
- Alpha provided an overview of EMIR and derivatives regulation, key compliance dates and the specific impact for the client
- The team also provided a detailed gap analysis, a policy document outlining each requirement, the client’s approach and controls in place to ensure ongoing compliance
- Alpha also delivered ‘EMIR Checklists’ for impacted business change processes, outlining how to determine whether a change falls within the scope of EMIR and if so, the actions required to ensure such changes are EMIR compliant
The client received actionable and prioritised recommendations for improving their approach to EMIR compliance in the short, medium and long term. Their current approach was formally documented for communication across the firm, alongside business change activities being given a framework to follow to assess the potential impact of EMIR.
