Alpha launches dedicated FinTech & Innovation Practice

Alpha strengthens market offering with dedicated FinTech & Innovation Practice focused on delivering the “Asset Managers, Wealth Managers and Asset Servicers of the Future”

Alpha today announces the formal launch of its new dedicated FinTech & Innovation Practice. Olivia Vinden, Director and a long-standing member of the Alpha team, leads the Practice, initially focusing on four key themes: Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Automation & Robotics, and FinTech Partnerships.

Alpha already plays a central role in helping its clients transform their business models and respond to ever-changing client demands and technical innovations. Its Digital Practice has been supporting clients in their digital transformation journey, including how they evolve the client experience and become responsive and nimble organisations. The FinTech & Innovation Practice has been formed to help Alpha’s clients benefit from innovative technology and the explosion of fintech firms emerging in the market place.

We are extremely excited about the launch of our FinTech & Innovation Practice. This is such an exciting time in terms of technological developments and thus far our sector has been slow to benefit. We believe there is a significant opportunity to help our clients get ahead of the curve in this important area.
Euan Fraser, Alpha FMC Global CE
I am thrilled to be leading this new practice within Alpha – a business that I have seen grow to the global leading firm that it is today. I am passionate about emerging technology and the latest developments in FinTech. I am naturally delivery-focused and thrive on turning concepts into reality. Too many industry initiatives fail to deliver – this practice will continue Alpha’s long-standing commitment to results.
Olivia Vinden, Director and Head of FinTech & Innovation

Olivia Vinden started her career at Accenture and has spent over ten years delivering major change programmes for Asset & Wealth Managers and Asset Servicers with Alpha. She has a Certificate in FinTech from MIT and is a member of the Advisory Panel of Velocity – a fintech accelerator from the Investment Association. She previously spent six months supporting a Blockchain fintech with a proof-of-concept.  She also presents Alpha’s quarterly ‘FinTech Showcase’ in which eight fintech firms have a chance to pitch their products to Alpha’s clients.

The practice will assist clients with understanding how Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Automation & Robotics, and FinTech Partnerships can selectively enhance their operating models, help assess the markets for the most effective partners, and implement solutions in a risk-mitigated manner.

The launch of a dedicated FinTech & Innovation Practice represents a key milestone in Alpha’s expansion strategy. Since its inception over 15 years ago, Alpha has grown rapidly; the firm has dedicated practices covering the full Asset and Wealth Management value chain and is now the leading global consulting firm to the industry.
