Alpha FMC launches dedicated Pensions and Retail Investments Practice and hires Bruce Davies and Dan Mahony as Directors
Alpha today announces the launch of a dedicated Pensions and Retail Investments Practice. Bruce Davies and Dan Mahony have joined as Directors to build out the practice, which will focus on helping wealth and asset managers transform their business models and respond to ever-changing client demands and technical innovations.
With convergence accelerating between asset and wealth management and the traditional pensions and retail investments sectors, the new practice will combine Bruce and Dan’s deep knowledge of the market with Alpha’s market-leading capabilities.
Dan Mahony previously spent seven years in the Life & Pensions sector, leading EY’s relationships with a number of prominent clients in the industry. Dan started his career with Prudential, working in several roles in retail and corporate distribution, and helped to launch the UKs first Fixed-Term annuity by founding the start-up business, Living Time.
Bruce Davies also joins from EY where he built and led the Life, Pensions and Investments transformation capability. Bruce specialises in shaping and delivering end-to-end transformation programmes, with a particular focus on distribution / investment platforms. Most recently, Bruce led a number of prominent transformation programmes across the industry helping to deliver significant technology and platform enhancements.
Their recent focus has been on delivering major platform transformations, operating model redesign, regulatory change and customer experience programmes, across multiple participants in the financial services value chain – from asset and wealth managers to platforms and retail banks.
The launch of a dedicated Pensions & Retail Investments Practice represents another key milestone in Alpha’s expansion strategy. Since its inception over 16 years ago, Alpha has grown rapidly; the firm has dedicated practices covering the full asset and wealth management value chain and is now the leading global consulting firm to the industry.
The wider industry continues to converge with a focus on delivering the best possible outcomes and experiences for end investors. As a result, industry participants across the value chain are reviewing their strategy and core capabilities to meet evolving market demands. With a clear focus on the strategic direction of the wider investments industry, and a strong heritage working in the life and pensions market, Bruce and Dan are superbly placed to leverage Alpha’s existing capabilities and tackle the industry’s challenges head on. There is already a strong demand for Alpha’s services in this area and we look forward to leveraging Alpha’s market leading Asset & Wealth Management expertise to grow our presence in this sectorEuan Fraser, Alpha FMC Global Chief Executive Officer
