London, 26th July 2023: Alpha FMC (“Alpha”), the leading global consultancy to the asset management, wealth management and insurance industries, today announces the hire of Jon Newman, a well-respected industry regulatory risk and compliance expert, to its UK insurance consulting team.
Jon joins Alpha as a director to lead the build of the insurance conduct risk and compliance proposition with a particular focus on the Consumer Duty, which comes into force on 31 July 2023. Jon joins from EY, where he was previously a partner in EY’s UK financial services consulting business, focusing on supporting clients in the areas of regulatory risk and remediation, primarily on retail investments and pensions.
The expansion of Alpha’s insurance consulting business reflects Alpha’s continued growth and ambition in this space. Since its launch in 2021, Alpha has continued to build a team of dedicated insurance experts focused on providing consultancy and transformation services to clients in the insurance industry.
