The Executive Team

Alpha’s Executive Team comprises the two Executive Directors from the Board and the following senior management.

Euan has served as Global Chief Executive Officer of Alpha since 2013. During this period, the business has increased EBITDA almost seven-fold, and he has led the Group through two private equity transitions and a public listing on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM in 2017. Euan was previously Chief Executive Officer of Alpha UK, starting in April 2011, where he established both Alpha’s M&A Integration and Operations & Outsourcing practices. He joined Alpha in 2004 and has over 20 years’ financial services experience, having worked at Merrill Lynch and KPMG, where he qualified as a chartered accountant.

Euan keeps the skills to support and deliver the Group’s strategy up to date through his role as Chief Executive Officer of a global consulting firm operating within the financial services sector. In this role, Euan has to understand and manage the interests of a range of stakeholders, including employees, clients, competitors and investors. Euan maintains a number of strong industry relationships that involve sharing of knowledge and perspectives.

John is a chartered accountant with 23 years of corporate finance, banking and audit experience. He joined from HSBC where he was a Director in the UK Mid-Market Advisory team (2007-12), the Corporate Origination team (2012-16) and latterly, the UK Banking team (2016-2018). Over his 11 year tenure he advised on a variety of M&A transactions and led loan financings for UK corporates. Prior to this he spent more than five years at MacArthur & Co. focusing on capital raisings including AIM IPOs. John started his career at KPMG, where he spent nearly seven years, working across financial services audit and risk management with exposure to financial reporting requirements, governance, risk & internal controls and systems’ implementation. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, graduated LLB (Hons) from the University of Aberdeen and holds an Executive MBA from the University of Bristol & École Nationale des Ponts & Chaussées, France. John joined Alpha in February 2018.

Nick has 15 years of experience consulting in the financial services, and in particular the capital markets sector. Specialising in asset management outsourcing, he has worked with a wide range of clients on advisory and implementation roles covering large scale outsourcing and organisational change initiatives, strategic business studies and market trend analysis.

Sarah is Alpha’s Global Chief Operating Officer. She joined Alpha in 2008. Before moving into business operations, she spent over 10 years in asset and wealth management consulting with experience performing both project management and functional roles, and working extensively on implementation and business transformation projects. As COO, Sarah is responsible for overseeing operations functions globally including IT & infrastructure, data privacy, people and talent management, service delivery and knowledge management.

Lee is the Global Head of Aiviq. Lee has a record of international business building with over 20 years experience, providing market leading enterprise and SaaS solutions to leading financial institutions. Lee has extensive knowledge of strategy creation, execution and expansion and has a proven track record in business development, process management and organisational optimisation.

Luc is the Global Head of Asset & Wealth Management Consulting at Alpha. Before joining Alpha, Luc spent 5 years with UBS in Paris and was head of change management. Prior to that, Luc spent 6 years with Solving International, a management consultancy, specialising in asset and wealth management in Europe.

Stuart is the Global Chief Client Officer & Head of UK for Asset & Wealth Management Consulting at Alpha. Stuart began his career at Accenture, where he specialised in the capital markets sector, leading projects ranging from system implementations to process change initiatives. Stuart then moved to J.P. Morgan, where he ran strategic projects within the credit exotics and hybrids middle office team, before joining Alpha in 2007. Since then, Stuart has worked on a wide variety of asset management projects, including new product development, competitive analysis, rate card reviews and large-scale onboarding programmes.

Stuart holds a First Class honours degree in Computer Science from the University of Sheffield.

Joe is Head of North America for Asset & Wealth Management Consulting at Alpha. Prior to joining Alpha Joe held operations and technology leadership roles at Nuveen Investments and BNY Mellon Asset Management. Joe has also held executive management positions at several service provider and consulting firms. Joe has worked extensively across the US and Europe, consulting to a range of leading asset managers. He has a breadth of experience across all aspects of the asset management business ranging from major change programs to corporate strategy and operating model definition.

Neil joined Alpha in April 2011 as a result of the acquisition of Tomtom Consultants. Neil established Tomtom Consultants in 2005 to become the leading consultant to distribution in investment management.

Neil has fifteen years experience working within investment management distribution and has more than eight years consultancy experience. During this time, Neil has assisted with business, operational and technical strategy addressing areas such as service proposition, client relationship management, client communications, marketing automation and web delivery.

Mike has over 20 years’ consulting experience and is an Executive Director and the Global Head of Alpha’s Distribution Practice, advising Asset Managers globally across their Sales, Marketing, Client Service and Product functions. Mike specialises in Distribution Transformation, including Strategy, Operating Models, Process Optimisation, Distribution Technology, Client Experience, Distribution Data & Analytics.

Regions

France

France Asset and Wealth Management Directors

Based in France, is the Global Head of Asset & Wealth Management Consulting for Alpha. Before joining Alpha, Luc spent 5 years with UBS in Paris and was head of change management. Prior to that, Luc spent 6 years with Solving International, a management consultancy, specialising in asset and wealth management in Europe.

Charles-Antoine is a Director at Alpha.

Charles joined Alpha in January 2011, prior to which he worked for Solving Efeso, a consulting firm with a dedicated asset management practice. He has over ten years of experience in asset and wealth management transformation projects, with a particular emphasis on complex operational issues, operating model design and product development.

Charles-Antoine holds a BA in History from the Sorbonne, as well as Master’s degree in Political Sciences from Sciences Po Paris.

Vincent is a Director at Alpha France and specialises in advising asset managers and fund industry players. Prior to joining Alpha in 2010, Vincent worked within the financial services practice at PwC Advisory.

Vincent has a broad range of experience across the investment management landscape, including large-scale transformation programmes, Operations effectiveness, Front Office space, and competitive analysis.

Vincent holds a Master Degree in IT Audit & Consulting from Paris Dauphine University.

Hugues is an Executive Director at Alpha and leads the Investments practice in France.

Hugues joined Alpha in May 2013, prior to which he worked for JPMorgan Asset Management, Thames River Capital/F&C Investments, Horizon Software & Murex.

Hugues has over 13 years experience in the asset management business and technology transformation projects, leading both programme management and subject matter expertise roles.

Hugues holds an Engineering degree from Telecom ParisTech, as well as a Masters degree in Mathematics and a Masters degree in Innovation Management from Toulouse University.

Alexandre is a Director in our Paris office and leads the Regulatory Compliance practice in France. He joined Alpha in early 2017, prior to which he worked for Architas, as Head of Legal and Compliance, and for the French Autorité des Marchés Financiers.

Alexandre has extensive experience in Financial Services, specifically within asset & wealth management, which includes: regulatory change, definition of governance, system assessment and selection, and design of risk management and control frameworks.

Alexandre holds a Master in Banking and Financial law from University Paris II Panthéon-Assas, and he is also graduated from the EDHEC Management School. Alexandre has also been admitted to the Bar of Paris.

Pierre-François is a Director in our Paris office and leads the Data Management Practice in Europe.

He joined Alpha in early 2019, prior to which he worked for EY and KPMG, as a Manager to support a variety of transformation projects with major focus around Data Management framework and Front to Back processes for a wide range of financial institutions.

Pierre-François has strong experience in Product & Securities Master data model construction, Target Operating Model design & implementation, Data Management effectiveness (Governance, Quality) and ESG target operating model (data base, scoring approach, external providers sourcing, labelling process).

Pierre François holds a master degree from Paris Pantheon-Assas, specializing in Banking activities & Finance. He has since spent time in numerous financial institutions: asset managers, wealth managers, brokers and asset owners before specializing in consulting at KPMG, EY and then Alpha.

France Insurance Directors

Stanislas is an Executive Director in our Paris office and joined Alpha in October 2020.

He has extensive experience in Financial Services and the Insurance sector in particular, overseeing projects ranging from Finance target operating model reviews, process re-engineering, and insourcing / outsourcing back office and reporting functions.

Stanislas holds a Masters in Finance & Audit from ICN Business School.

Luxembourg

Based in Europe, is the Global Head of Asset & Wealth Management Consulting for Alpha. Before joining Alpha, Luc spent 5 years with UBS in Paris and was head of change management. Prior to that, Luc spent 6 years with Solving International, a management consultancy, specialising in asset and wealth management in Europe.

Miloslav has over 10 years of experience in project management and consulting in the fund industry. He specialises in operations and outsourcing, including operating model reviews, fund migrations and offshoring initiatives. Miloslav has also extensive experience in system selection, implementation and improvement projects.

Prior to joining Alpha in 2011, Miloslav worked at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and Brown Brothers Harriman.

He holds master’s degrees with honours in Finance (Bradford School of Management), International Management (Copenhagen Business School) and Economics (University of Economics Prague).

Veit is a Head of Germany and member of the European Management Committee for Asset & Wealth Management Consulting at Alpha. Prior to joining Alpha, Veit held operations and technology leadership roles at UBS Asset and Wealth Management.

Veit has worked extensively across Europe, consulting to a range of leading asset managers, servicers and wealth managers. He has a breadth of experience across all aspects of the asset management business ranging from major change programs to corporate strategy and operating model definition.

Julien has over 15 years of consulting experience in the financial services sector and is active in Alpha’s Operations & Outsourcing practice. He specializes in business transformation and implementation projects and also has extensive experience in functional design, operations effectiveness and system implementation.

Prior to joining Alpha in 2012, he worked at KPMG advisory in Luxembourg and with an International Central Securities Depositary in Belgium.

Julien holds a masters degree in Business Management from Louvain School of Management – Université Catholique de Louvain (UCL).

Pierre is a Director in our Luxembourg office. Pierre joined Alpha in November 2018, prior to which he was a Director in Deloitte’s consulting. He has over twenty years of experience in Asset and Wealth Management. Pierre has a broad range of experience across these industries, including large-scale transformation programmes, operations effectiveness and operating model design.

Pierre holds a Master Degree in economics from Paris Nanterre University.

North America

Joe is Head of North America for Asset & Wealth Management Consulting at Alpha.

Prior to joining Alpha Joe held operations and technology leadership roles at Nuveen Investments and BNY Mellon Asset Management. Joe has also held executive management positions at several service provider and consulting firms.

Joe has worked extensively across the US and Europe, consulting to a range of leading asset managers. He has a breadth of experience across all aspects of the asset management business ranging from major change programs to corporate strategy and operating model definition.

Matt joined Alpha in 2004 and he has led a diverse range of engagements at leading asset managers and major financial institutions in the US, the UK and throughout Europe.

Matt has a depth of experience across the asset management value chain, with a particular focus around large transformation programs driven by M&A, operational outsourcing and strategic operating model development.

Prior to Alpha, Matt worked at Accenture in the Capital Markets practice, and at Deutsche Asset Management.

Mike is an Executive Director with Alpha North America, based in the New York office.

Mike is a trusted advisor to senior executives in the investment management industry, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects in all areas of the value chain. He has particular responsibility for the development of our Investments practice in North America, helping firms to design and implement optimized operating models to support their investment and trading teams.

Prior to this role Mike spent 5 years with Alpha UK. He is IMC qualified and holds a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Oxford.

Sam is an Executive Director at Alpha North America, based in the Denver office, where he co-leads our Distribution practice. Sam is an industry thought leader and subject matter expert in Distribution Analytics and Enablement and has extensive experience supporting global and national asset managers with their transformation initiatives, supporting clients across their entire change lifecycle from ideation to execution.

Sam has a first class degree in Economics from the University of Bristol.

Prior to joining Alpha, Tod was the Chief Operating Officer of Prudential PMG, a £180b asset management firm headquartered in the UK.

His responsibilities covered technology, investment operations, business operations, and analytics and reporting. Tod was also responsible for large transformation programs, target operating model designs and implementations, and re-designed the investment processes for the multi-asset business.

Brett is a Director at Alpha North America, based in the San Francisco office. Brett has worked across a broad range of segments and clients in the UK and US, advising on business strategy, solution evaluation, as well as delivery of large-scale, end-to-end transformation projects.

Brett has responsibility for the oversight and management of our Distribution practice in North America, and is a subject matter expert in distribution platforms and associated operating models.

He has a deep understanding of the industry sales channels and functions across a spectrum of business capabilities, including CRM, Marketing Automation, Sales Enablement, Business Intelligence, Client Reporting and Enterprise Content & Data Management.

Rory Craven is an Executive Director with Alpha North America, based in Denver. He has over 16 years of consulting experience leading large-scale, global transformation in some of the top asset managers as well as strategic initiatives at smaller, wealth managers.

Prior to joining Alpha, Rory spent time within Accenture’s Finance & Risk and Capital Markets practices that specialized in Regulatory Remediation & Compliance Transformation and focused in the Wealth & Asset Management industry.

Rory has a concurrent Bachelor of Science in Economics & Finance with a minor in International Business with distinction from the University of Wyoming.

Sam is a Director at Alpha North America, based in the New York office, where he co-leads our Distribution practice. Sam has extensive experience working with leading global and national asset managers on a variety of sales, marketing and client service engagements to develop their distribution strategy and platform across all geographies, business lines, channels and investment vehicles.

Sam is a subject matter expert across the distribution value chain and has supported clients from strategy definition through end-to-end implementation and execution of their distribution vision. He has supported clients with a variety of programs including CRM, marketing automation, Business Intelligence & Analytics, Distribution Data, client & product mastering, ESG, and more.

Sam also founded Alpha’s LGBTQ+ Diversity Network, Pride in Alpha, and oversees Alpha’s North America marketing efforts. Sam has a degree in Geography from the University of Oxford.

Bob Carrier is a Director with Alpha North America. He has over 23 years of experience in investment management, data management, project management, business process and technology within the Asset and Wealth Management Industry. Bob possesses working experience and has led large projects across asset managers, insurance companies, pension funds, asset servicers and industry platform vendors.

Prior to joining Alpha, Bob consulted for Accenture’s Capital Markets Asset Management Practice and InvestTech Systems Consulting, as well as, working in the Asset Management space for a leading global insurance company and one of the largest public pension funds in the United States.

Bob holds an MBA from Capital University and a BSBA in Finance and Economics from The Ohio State University.

Dan is a Director with Alpha North America, based in our New York City office.  He is focused on Alpha’s Regulatory Compliance & Risk practice and has over 20 years experience in the Asset Management industry acting as Chief Compliance Officer for various investment advisers, broker/dealers and funds.

Dan has led compliance teams at several Asset Management firms to build and implement regulatory compliance programs and operating models for U.S. and non-U.S. registered entities and has focused on various risk initiatives including compliance with global AML/KYC regulation, systems implementations, compliance training programs and change management related to new regulatory requirements.  His experience in Asset Management spans public equity and fixed income, private equity and other alternative assets, as well as registered and unregistered funds.

Andrew is a Director with Alpha North America, based in the New York Office, where he helps co-lead the North America M&A practice. He has extensive experience across the Asset Management value chain and has worked on a number of engagements around strategy, pre-deal M&A, integration planning and post-close integration, operating models, process optimization and large-scale transformations.

Prior to Alpha, Andrew spent time at Navigant Consulting in the Financial Services practice and in investment banking at both Cowen and Company and the Jordan, Edmiston Group.

Andrew holds an MBA in Finance from New York University, an MS in Computer Science from Lehigh University and a BS in Business and Computer Engineering from Lehigh University. 

Alex Monte is an Associate Director aligned to Alpha Financial Markets Consulting’s Boston office.

Alex has over 14 years of industry experience and has worked on large strategic engagements involving operational and technological reviews, target state definitions, and large scale change initiatives across Front, Middle, and Back Office, Distribution, Client Service, and Data Management.

Alex holds a BA in Political Science and MBA from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.

Will Karkar (he/him) is a Director with Alpha North America, based in the New York office.

Will has extensive experience advising senior executives at leading global investment managers. He has delivered complex initiatives across the industry’s value chain, focusing on our Investments practice with expertise across public and private asset classes.

Will has also set up and led several areas of our North America business, including Recruiting and Diversity & Inclusion.

Will earned a Masters degree in Finance from the London School of Economics and a first class degree in Economics and Politics from the University of Nottingham.

APAC

Paul leads the build-out of our Asset & Wealth Management business across Asia Pacific.

Paul draws on 15+ years of consulting experience, exclusively focused on Financial Services. Prior to joining Alpha FMC, Paul was the Managing Partner of the APAC & Middle East business for Greenwich Associates, following nine years at Oliver Wyman.

Paul earned two degrees from the University of Cambridge. His Masters in Manufacturing Engineering specialized in business and process optimization, in addition to his BA in Engineering.

James is a Director at Alpha APAC, based in the Sydney Office, where he is responsible for the development of Alpha’s business in Australia.

He has extensive experience supporting complex change and transformation initiatives with both global and national asset managers and asset servicer clients in the public and private markets. Focusing on operations and outsourcing, James has a strong track record of delivery across the change lifecycle, from design of front-to-back operating models, to vendor evaluation and selection, and large-scale implementation programmes.

Hugo is a Director with Alpha APAC, based in the Singapore office.

He has over 10 years‘ experience in auditing and consulting in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Alpha in 2011, he was a financial auditor for PwC’s Insurance practice in Paris.

Hugo’s expertise spans the Investments value chain. As the APAC lead for Alpha’s Investments Practice, he builds intellectual capital and supports client investment and trading teams with complex strategic and operating model initiatives.

He is a strong believer in open innovation, collaboration and network effects, principles which he places at the core of his consultant mission.

Valentin is a Director at Alpha APAC, based in the Singapore Office, and Head of the Alpha’s APAC Operations Practice.

He has over 12 years‘ experience in the asset management industry. Prior to joining Alpha in 2011, Valentin worked within the financial services practice at EY in Paris.

Valentin has proven track record of leading and managing international programs across Europe and Asia Pacific. He is specialized in large and complex transformation from strategy, operating model design, selection to implementation.

Switzerland

Based in Europe, is the Global Head of Asset & Wealth Management Consulting for Alpha. Before joining Alpha, Luc spent 5 years with UBS in Paris and was head of change management. Prior to that, Luc spent 6 years with Solving International, a management consultancy, specialising in asset and wealth management in Europe.

Nicolas is an Executive Director based in Geneva. He joined Alpha in 2014 and now oversees our local presence in Switzerland (Geneva & Zürich) and heads up the CRM & Distribution practice in Continental Europe.

Nicolas has a 12+ years of experience as a consultant in the financial services. He specialized in the Asset and Wealth Management industry and Distribution in particular covering Sales, Marketing, Client Service & Product. He has been working with large European players in the industry on a variety of projects spanning strategy & target operating model definition, post-merger integration, systems selection & implementation, business process reengineering and regulatory analysis.

Nicolas holds a Masters in Management and a Master of Science in Strategy & Organisation Consultancy from EDHEC Business School.

Michael has more than twenty years of consulting experience in Wealth Management across over 30 global financial institutions. He focuses on the definition and implementation of transformational business and operating models enabled by technology. Prior to joining Alpha, Michael worked at renowned consultancies and founded Newtone Associates, which he sold in 2013.

Michael holds a master’s degree in Economics and Information Technologies (HEC Lausanne) and a post-graduate degree in public institutions management (IDEHAP). He is also PMP certified and has participated to several IMD and INSEAD executive programmes.

Sven is a Director responsible for our Zurich office. Sven has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry and is a trusted advisor to senior executives in Wealth Management across Europe and in the Middle East.

Prior to joining Alpha, Sven advised global, regional, and local financial institutions for Roland Berger and zeb plus spent a few years on the banking side at UBS. His expertise lies in Target Operating Models, Operations and Outsourcing, Sales Excellence, Digital Transformation and Efficiency Improvement Programs.

Sven holds a Master in Banking & Finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG) and a Master of Science in International Management from the Università Commerciale Luigi Bocconi.

The Netherlands

Bastiaan is Head of the Netherlands for Asset & Wealth Management Consulting at Alpha.

He began his career in 1998 as an IT consultant in financial services. Since 2005 he has held several senior positions within State Street and SGSS, responsible for product development, business development and large due diligence projects.

He has extensive experience in complex front to back models, from a functional and technical perspective, as well as outsourced models.

Bastiaan has a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Economics from the Hogeschool Haarlem.

UK

UK Asset and Wealth Management Directors

Stuart is Head of the UK for Asset & Wealth Management Consulting at Alpha.

Jon is an Executive Director at Alpha with a long standing track record of large scale project delivery, and deep experience in project management, strategy and proposition development.

Jon brings 15+ years’ of consulting experience, 13 years directly within the asset and wealth management industry. Jon has led many industry-changing Merger & Acquisition projects and heads up the our M&A Integrations practice.

He has worked for the largest administrators and investment managers and has undertaken a range of roles including proposition development, strategy, systems delivery, process design and business analysis / modelling.

Jon joined Alpha in 2008 after over three years at Accenture. Jon has significant experience running large initiatives across global organisations, liaising, reporting and presenting to the global ‘heads of function’ or above. Jon has a firm understanding of the challenges faced by asset managers in each business line and can debate these at a senior level.

Jon is co-head of Alpha’s Investments practice and has led many global change initiatives in enterprise architecture at major asset managers.

Duncan is an Executive Director at Alpha and has over 13 years’ experience consulting to the asset management and wider financial services industry. Prior to joining Alpha Duncan worked within the capital markets practice at Accenture.

Duncan has a broad range of experience across the Investment Management landscape and has worked extensively internationally – including in Continental Europe, Asia and the US. Duncan holds a degree in Business Management from Aston University.

Joe has over 20 years’ consulting experience and is an Executive Director and the Global Head of Alpha’s Operations Practice, advising Asset Managers globally across their Middle and Back Office Functions.

Joe specialises in Operating Model transformation – including Strategy, Design, Automation, Post Merger Integration, Service Provider Selection and Implementation and Outsourcing Relationship Management.

Joe holds the Investment Management Certification as well as a Management Studies degree from Aston University.

Barrie is a Director at Alpha and leads our Scottish Practice.

Barrie formally joined Alpha in 2016 after spending the previous 8 years working with Alpha as an associate, delivering large-scale, complex change programmes for our clients in the UK and Europe. Prior to this, Barrie spent seven years with EY.

Barrie is a chartered accountant and a graduate of the University of Edinburgh.

Andrew has over 25 years’ experience in financial services and compliance. After gaining experience in the asset management and life and pensions sectors, Andrew moved to the FSA to work on industry-wide thematic projects and the supervision of asset managers, wealth managers, platforms and distributors.

Andrew joined Alpha in 2016 as Head of the Regulatory Compliance practice, responsible for helping Alpha’s clients to meet the regulators’ requirements. The team’s work includes assisting clients implement regulatory change, deliver ongoing investment compliance and maintain demonstrably effective governance and oversight, risk management and controls.

Mike has over 20 years’ consulting experience and is an Executive Director and the Global Head of Alpha’s Distribution Practice, advising Asset Managers globally across their Sales, Marketing, Client Service and Product functions. Mike specialises in Distribution Transformation, including Strategy, Operating Models, Process Optimisation, Distribution Technology, Client Experience, Distribution Data & Analytics.

Kevin joined Alpha in September 2017 and leads our Digital & Agile Transformation Practice.

Kevin has 20 + years of experience of driving client and digital transformation across the Financial Services Sector, working on both the client and consulting side during this period.  His previous roles include being a partner at PA Consulting,  leading their Financial Services Digital offering, and also holding senior leadership roles at Standard Life Aberdeen (Abrdn), GE Capital and M&G Prudential. In addition, Kevin founded and ran a boutique digital consulting firm which had a range of well-known clients in Financial and Consumer Services.

Kevin holds an MBA and is a member of the Institute of Digital & Direct Marketing.

Alex has been with Alpha for 4 years, co-leading the Investments practice having spent over 17 years working with financial technology platforms.

He has worked as a solution architect across Asset Management, Investment Banks, and the LSE, most recently working at JPM AM before Alpha. This experience has covered many vendor packages and also running in house technology departments.

Alex holds a masters degree in Physics.

Greg is a Director in our Investments practice.

Greg has over 10 years experience within the asset management area with emphasis around the front office IT space dealing with both traditional and alternative managers.

Before joining Alpha, Greg spent 5 years with Charles River Development and prior to that 4 years with Bluebay Asset Management and JPM Asset Management respectively. Greg holds a degree in economics.

Olivia has over ten years experience consulting in the financial services sector, starting her career at Accenture and then for over ten years at Alpha, where she leads our FinTech & Innovation practice.

She is passionate about emerging technology and its impact on Asset and Wealth Manager operating models. She has a certificate in FinTech from MIT and leads a number of client forums on innovation.

Olivia has defined and implemented a number of different operating models and solutions covering the front, middle and back office, as well as client reporting and performance measurement, and has led a number of large transformation programs, especially in the outsourcing space.

Bo is a Director of Alpha and Head of our Benchmarking practice.

Before joining Alpha, he was a senior member of the corporate strategy team at National Australia Group Europe. Prior to that Bo spent 10 years with Accenture and was a senior member of their financial services strategy practice. He has also worked as an independent consultant in the asset management industry.

Bo holds an MBA from the Stockholm School of Economics.

Kenn is a Director and Head of Wealth at Alpha.

His consulting work over the last 15 years has covered Wealth and Investment operations, outsourcing, proposition development, supplier assessment, operating models, business case development and deal negotiations. Kenn is a regular conference speaker and commentator on topics such as the impact of Retail Distribution Review and Pension Freedoms on Wealth Managers.

Before joining Alpha Kenn led consulting teams with Grant Thornton, Navigant and Troika, having previously been a Director in Prudential’s UK Corporate Pensions business.

Marc is a Director at Alpha responsible for our ETF & Indexing practice.

Marc has over 15 years of experience in the industry, the majority of that spent at Barclays Global Investors and Blackrock where he was a member of the pioneering team that launched the iShares ETF business in 2001. In 2015, Marc led the launch of BMO GAM’s ETF business and more recently built out the ETF dedicated consulting practice at KPMG. Marc is passionate about helping asset managers adapt to the significant changes underway in the industry and position their businesses for success.

 

David joined Alpha in 2014, is a member of our Investments practice leadership team and is based in our Edinburgh office.

He has over 16 years of financial services consulting experience and has held multiple senior positions on global scale transformation programs for asset managers. David’s experience spans multiple front office operating model transformation projects and post M&A investment platform migrations involving hundreds of billions (£) of AUM.

Claire is a Director in Alpha’s Regulatory Compliance practice and has over 19 years experience covering regulator, in-house risk and compliance and consulting roles.

She has held a number of controlled functions  and senior management roles, leading global teams, and prior to joining Alpha acted as an interim global CRO for a large UK asset manager for 18 months.

Claire’s expertise is in implementing regulatory change and the review and design of operating models for risk and compliance functions.

Nick is a Director at Alpha with more than 11 years’ asset management industry experience, and is the lead for Distribution Operations in the UK.

He has led numerous projects in leading asset managers to help Distribution functions operate more efficiently, while reducing risk. His areas of focus include rebates and commissions management, obligations and legal agreement management, due diligence and ongoing oversight, and distributor on-boarding.

Prior to joining Alpha, Nick was a Director in KPMG’s Asset Management consulting practice, focussing on Distribution and Risk.

Troy is a Director in Alpha’s ESG and Responsible Investment practice and has over 20 years of experience working globally across various asset classes and investment strategies.  Troy has led numerous projects in relation to sustainability, ESG and responsible investment transformation, due diligence, risk and regulatory compliance and impact assurance reporting.

Prior to joining Alpha, Troy led KPMG’s Sustainability and Responsible Investment practice supporting asset owners, asset managers and investee companies to develop, integrate and enhance their sustainability and responsible investment practices.

Vanessa is a Director in Alpha’s ESG and Responsible Investment practice and led the development and launch of this capability at Alpha.

Vanessa has shaped and led multiple engagements with asset managers and asset owners to define and deliver their ESG & Responsible Investment ambition. This includes setting vision and strategy, embedding throughout investment and client-facing functions, and building the data, technology and operating processes to support the enhanced capabilities.

Prior to joining Alpha Vanessa worked as an Investment Consultant with Willis Towers Watson in London and New York. Vanessa is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

Rob leads our deal advisory work and has supported clients on over 70 transactions. He often works on transactions which will result in a significant change to the ongoing business, either as a result of an integration and delivery of synergies or as part of a divestiture and carve out.

Rob’s clients span Asset & Wealth Management, Insurance and FinTech. He works with a broad base of international clients who invest across multiple sectors both domestically in the UK and internationally.

Rob has over 13 years financial services experience. Prior to joining Alpha, Rob was part of the PwC Transaction Services team (6 years in London and 2 years in Hong Kong) and acted as the synergy reporting accountant (QFBS) on four Class 1 transactions.

Mark is a Director in Asset & Wealth Management Consulting at Alpha UK. He joined Alpha in 2014 from Accenture. In his career at Alpha he has worked across all aspects of Asset Management businesses with a greater focus on Operations and Alternatives.

He has extensive experience delivering transformation across a range of leading Asset Managers, with expertise ranging from strategic change to operating model designs, to running large scale implementations.

Jamie has led a variety of strategic, advisory and large scale delivery initiatives for Alpha during his 8 years at Alpha. He started his career in the Insurance industry, before moving to top tier consulting and advising this sector through the transition into Platforms and Wealth Management.

As a Director at Alpha, Jamie advises National and Global Wealth Managers and Private Banks and is part of Alpha’s Global Wealth Management leadership, while also continuing some large Programme delivery responsibilities.

Tom is a Director in Asset & Wealth Management Consulting at Alpha with over 11 years experience in the industry and 15 years as a consultant helping clients to transform their businesses primarily through the use of technology.

Tom has significant experience working in the Middle East having spent five years based in the UAE working across a range of technology programmes helping clients to implement Investment Books of Record, Performance and Risk management systems.

Harry is a Director at Alpha with over a decade of experience in asset management.

Harry has led numerous transformation programmes across Product, Strategy, Operations, Tech Innovation and Regulatory Change. He has also worked closely with firms’ Fund Boards, to help them address emerging regulations and embed a commercial, customer-centric approach to Product Governance.

Before joining Alpha, Harry graduated from the University of Oxford as a Biologist, and worked for KPMG Consulting and a boutique Investment Management firm.

Caoimhe is an experienced management consultant with a background in Project and Programme Management and a specialism in Outsourced Operating Models. Having worked in consulting for over 8 years, Caoimhe has worked across Asset Managers of all sizes, Asset Owners and Asset Servicers with respect to outsourcing arrangements.

Caoimhe holds a Bachelors degree in Economics and Politics from the University of York.

Richard is a Director in Asset & Wealth Management Consulting at Alpha and has over 10 years’ experience in Financial Services. Richard focuses on shaping and mobilising transformation programmes for asset manages looking to improve the scalability of their operations.

Prior to joining Alpha in 2016, Richard worked in the Strategy & Customer team at EY and Corporate Strategy at RBS. Richard holds an MA in History and an MSc in Economic History from the Universities of Oxford and Edinburgh respectively.

UK Insurance Directors

Dan is an Executive Director in Insurance Consulting specialising in Pensions and Retail Investments.
Before joining Alpha, Dan was a Director in EY’s UK Insurance and Investments sector team. He has particular expertise regarding the UK intermediated distribution market and product innovation.
Dan has extensive experience of senior operations management within the UK life industry, with a proven track record of delivering successful business change.
Dan has also led numerous distribution change and strategy initiatives, across intermediated, direct to consumer and corporate sales functions.

Keith is a Director with over 20 years of insurance experience.

Keith has successfully led engagements covering Strategy Development, Core Technology Change, Target Operating Model design and implementation, Process Improvement & Re-engineering, Business Process Management, and Distribution.

Prior to joining Alpha, Keith led EY’s Life & Pensions Technology practice, focusing on strategy and delivery of technology enabled business change programmes within Financial Services.

Miles is a Director in Insurance Consulting with over 20 years of experience in General and Specialty Insurance.

Miles’ career spans consulting, advisory, and global roles within industry in the UK, European, US, and Bermuda insurance markets.

Miles has a proven track record of defining and delivering business transformation. His focus is target operating model design and implementation, strategy definition and delivery, and cost optimisation.

David is a Director in Insurance Consulting specialising in General and Specialty Insurance. His career has been spent largely within global consulting and advisory organisations.

David’s client delivery has seen him shape and deliver projects of strategic importance across the UK, Europe, and North America. Focused on taking strategy through to execution, David helps his clients by injecting structure and creating space to move forward.

Operating at the intersect of business and technology, David’s track record centres on helping insurers and brokers with strategy execution, operational improvement, operating model design, digital strategies, and M&A integration.

Prior to joining Alpha, David has worked for Accenture, KPMG, and Capgemini.

Bradley is a Director and leads Retail Distribution consulting at Alpha. He has a range of experience across Retail Distribution including expertise in Financial Advice, Platforms and Wealth Management working with firms to manage the delivery of complex change and identify strategic opportunities in the market.

Previous delivery experience includes Strategy, Proposition Development, Target Operating Model Design and Implementation, and Process Improvement. Bradley is at the forefront of change in the Retail market helping firms to design and implement innovative propositions including the development of digitally enabled guidance and advice models.

Ken joined the Alpha Board in 2016, following almost 10 years as the Global Chief Operating Officer at Aberdeen Asset Management. He was appointed the Board’s Non-Executive Chairman in February 2018. Ken has over 27 years’ experience in financial services, and has considerable experience integrating acquisitions within the investment management industry. Ken has a strong technology and operations background, and has undertaken a number of transformational projects during his career. He directed the integration of many major acquisitions while at Aberdeen Asset Management, including assets acquired from Deutsche Asset Management, Credit Suisse Asset Management and Scottish Widows Investment Partners.

Ken keeps the skills to support and deliver the Group’s strategy up to date by maintaining a wide network of contacts within investment management globally. He regularly attends conferences and discussion forums to keep abreast of industry issues and meets with both clients and investors. He also advises on M&A strategy within the investment management industry.

Euan has served as Global Chief Executive Officer of Alpha since 2013. During this period, the business has increased EBITDA almost seven-fold, and he has led the Group through two private equity transitions and a public listing on the London Stock Exchange’s AIM in 2017. Euan was previously Chief Executive Officer of Alpha UK, starting in April 2011, where he established both Alpha’s M&A Integration and Operations & Outsourcing practices. He joined Alpha in 2004 and has over 20 years’ financial services experience, having worked at Merrill Lynch and KPMG, where he qualified as a chartered accountant.

Euan keeps the skills to support and deliver the Group’s strategy up to date through his role as Chief Executive Officer of a global consulting firm operating within the financial services sector. In this role, Euan has to understand and manage the interests of a range of stakeholders, including employees, clients, competitors and investors. Euan maintains a number of strong industry relationships that involve sharing of knowledge and perspectives.

John is a chartered accountant with 23 years of corporate finance, banking and audit experience. He joined from HSBC where he was a Director in the UK Mid-Market Advisory team (2007-12), the Corporate Origination team (2012-16) and latterly, the UK Banking team (2016-2018). Over his 11 year tenure he advised on a variety of M&A transactions and led loan financings for UK corporates. Prior to this he spent more than five years at MacArthur & Co. focusing on capital raisings including AIM IPOs. John started his career at KPMG, where he spent nearly seven years, working across financial services audit and risk management with exposure to financial reporting requirements, governance, risk & internal controls and systems’ implementation. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, graduated LLB (Hons) from the University of Aberdeen and holds an Executive MBA from the University of Bristol & École Nationale des Ponts & Chaussées, France. John joined Alpha in February 2018.

Penny joined the Alpha Board as a Non-Executive Director in February 2018, having previously held the roles of Managing Director and EMEA Head of Compliance at both Nomura International plc and UBS AG. Penny has a strong public markets and financial services background, with over 30 years’ experience in compliance, regulation, corporate finance and audit. She is also a chartered accountant and is currently Non-Executive Director and Chair of Audit Committee for both Trufin plc and Team17 Group plc.

Penny keeps the skills to support and deliver the Group’s strategy up to date through her experience gained on other listed company boards, while also maintaining a wide network of contacts in financial services and regulation. She attends various conferences and events covering relevant industry and governance matters, and meets with a range of advisers and institutional investors in AIM and main market companies.

Jill joined the Alpha Board as a Non-Executive Director in July 2020. She has over 20 years’ experience in investment banking, with her executive career spent working in corporate finance for SG Warburg & Co. Ltd from 1985 to 1995, and senior positions in Group Strategy at UBS where she was a Managing Director from 2001 to 2012.

She was a Panel Member from 2013 to 2018 and a Non-Executive Director from 2013 to 2016 of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA), and a Non-Executive Director of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) from 2015 to 2019.

Jill is currently an External Member of the Prudential Regulation Committee at the Bank of England. Her current listed company experience includes her roles as Non-Executive Director of Standard Life Investments Property Income Trust Limited, JP Morgan Claverhouse Investment Trust plc and Ruffer Investment Company Limited.

Maeve is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and has over 30 years’ experience in Financial Services.

She started her career as an auditor with KPMG Ireland and worked in several other KPMG international offices in Europe and North America. Within KPMG, Maeve moved from Audit to Transaction Services where she was a Financial Services Partner from 2002 to 2014. From 2010 to 2013, Maeve was seconded to Royal Bank of Scotland and the Non-Core Division where she was CFO and a member of the Group Finance Board & Risk and Control Committee. From 2014 to 2017, she held senior executive roles at the Royal Bank of Scotland in Capital Resolutions Group and Williams & Glyn.

Since 2017, Maeve has focused on transformation services, offering Board advisory services as an independent consultant. She has worked with Financial Services companies including Santander and clients in the Fintech/Neo bank space.
