The client was using a legacy front office platform overlaid with a series of spreadsheets for money market, fixed income and OTC instruments. This limited scalability and meant fragmented capture of OTC trading.

The client had resolved to put in a new front office order management system to reduce overall complexity and risk, to integrate several business groups and to consolidate capture of OTC trading.

  • Alpha ran a ‘discovery phase’ to document existing workflows, find ways to rationalise custom applications, give potential vendors functional requirements, and weigh up the functional strengths and weaknesses of vendor solutions
